In 2019, Turkey received a total of 51.9 million tourists, however, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of tourists dropped significantly in 2020 to just 25.3 million. The top countries of origin for tourists visiting Turkey are Russia, Germany, and Bulgaria.
