January

New Year: The New Year is celebrated for just a few days in Turkey. Officially, work in the country begins on January 2nd. Thus, the New Year of 2024 will be celebrated on Sunday and Monday, December 31 and January 1.

February

Valentine's Day: Celebrated on February 14th in Turkey. Although not an official holiday, it is widely celebrated, especially in resort areas and major cities where foreigners live or visit. Couples congratulate each other and exchange gifts.

March

International Women's Day: Celebrated on March 8th, but it is a regular working day in Turkey. Women are celebrated with greetings, concerts, and other events.

Gallipoli Victory Day: Celebrated on March 18th, a national holiday commemorating the historic battle in 1915. While not a day off, there are nationwide festive events.

April

Eid al-Fitr (Ramadan Bayram): Begins on April 9th and lasts until April 19th. Although officially starting on April 9th, April 8th (Monday) is declared a public holiday. Eid al-Fitr is celebrated widely for nine days from April 6 to April 14, including weekends.
