Who is Mimar Sinan ?

Mimar Sinan, also known as Koca Mi'mar Sinan Ağa, was a prominent Ottoman architect and engineer who lived between 1489 and 1588. He is considered one of the greatest architects in Islamic history and is known for his influential and innovative designs that contributed to the development of Ottoman architecture.

Sinan was born in Anatolia, Turkey and initially worked as a janissary, but later became an apprentice in the imperial Ottoman palace workshop, where he studied architecture and engineering.
